According to my perception of Singer’s moral principle, Singer suggests it is obligatory to donate to charity for members of affluent societies. Some people may argue the principle is too demanding, and it is against the ordinary way of thinking. For example, the public all agree with the prohibition of killing, genocide, and torture, and they think it’s the duty and obligation to do it. They also think donation is good, but it’s not their obligation and duty to giving money to famine relief. However, Singer thinks if the moral principle is against the universally accepted way of thinking, it means the way of thinking ought to change, because the way of thinking is partly wrong. People need to rethink the way of thinking. Singer suggests
