Members of the jury, your honor, today, you are going to hear the case of a man who had an almost mythical influence on rock in the 1980s, a man who experienced numerous hardships in life but still persevered even through his families’ death, a man who wrote songs exploring death but instead found life in fostering a relationship with his new son, Pat — you will hear about that man. Moreover, today, you will hear the case of a man who’s murderer still walks free, and is sitting on the Defendant’s side of the courtroom. Our victim’s name is Martin Siriusz, and he is a deceased rockstar who was murdered on May 31st, 2009, by none other than Thomas Osiski. Siriusz and Osiski go far back; they were partners in the famous band Sir Osis, and produced several best selling songs.…show more content… Siriusz was the genius behind constructing songs like Its So Schizo, while greedy Osiski was the freeloader that gave the songs a name and tried to take credit, with Siriusz letting this slide because of his kindhearted nature. Decades later, Osiski and Siriusz had gone their separate ways. Siriusz experienced the tragic death of his family, but he also gained a new family member in 2008. He and Pat planned to go on tour together — all was well until Osiski crashed in and turned their Father-Son tour into a Sir Osis reunion. Osiski was nearly bankrupt, so this tour would give him the financial security he needed. Siriusz gave in to Osiski’s frustrating demands, and the trio began practicing, until even more tragedy struck. Siriusz was diagnosed with end-stage lung cancer. Deciding to recuperate, Siriusz canceled the tour and began self-medicating with Nitrazapam and Jack Daniels.
