a. Smarts argument is that humans innately believe in utilitarianism because people care about increasing the total happiness amongst the greatest number. Smart gives examples to prove his point he states that if given a choice between choosing a world where the total amount of happiness among the large majority of people is zero and a world where the total amount of happiness among the large majority of people is 100 most people would choose the world where the total amount of happiness among everyone is high. One of the problems with Smarts Masters argument is that if someone was made to choose between two worlds where in one world 2 people could be despising life basically wishing to be dead while the rest of humanity was living wonderful
