In The Sneetches, Dr. Seuss deals with discrimination and transcending barriers somewhat similar to S.E Hinton in The Outsiders. In The Sneetches, they discriminate against the Sneetches without stars. They do this by, not inviting them to the parties and Marshmallow roasts. Also, they avoid the Sneetches and are snobby towards them. In The Outsiders, the Socs and the Greasers constantly discriminate each other. They do things like attacking them or sometimes even killing an opposing gang member. In the Sneetches, at the end, they realize that the are all Sneetches no matter if or if they don’t have stars on their stomachs. However, in The Outsiders, it is slightly different.
