To complete this project efficiently, I had several meetings with my supervisor and got her suggestions on this project. I followed her suggestions and first contacted employees inside the department branch, and then got suggestions from there. As a snow-ball effect, at the end of this project, I contacted several sources, including universities, AAFC, non-profit-organizations, Manitoba Agriculture Services, etc. Some of them were very resourceful and very interested in this project. I collaborated with them to get the list of water-retention projects across Manitoba. I had a regular contact with them and was patient and respectful when requesting information from collaborators. I also listened to and was open to new ideas from collaborators. I followed up with collaborators regularly for updated information. I acknowledged his hard work and contributions to our team, then I asked him some questions to gather relevant information and to confirm the issues. I explained to the boy that the loud music might improve his work efficiency, but might disturb others. When working in a team environment, we need to think of other team members. So I offered several suggestions such as wearing earbud, or turn down the volume when they work together.

Also, when I made a job plan, I tried to assign them different tasks, based on their strength and sometime their preference, to separate them. For example, one works in the field and another in the lab. In a rainy day, I assign tem different jobs to separate them. For instance, one works in a chemical analysis lab, while another in a soil grinding room.

I followed up with them for feedback to see if the problem was solved. It is clear that my suggestions work. Working in a team towards a common goal, we finished the summer-project successfully.
