To What extent is liberalism a viable ideology in the 21st century

Liberalism is a type of ideology that began in the 1600s in England. It was developed by thinkers like John Locke who rethought the relationship between an individual and society. He also believed that there are certain rights and responsibilities one should have. Those ideas form the foundation of many political systems operating today.This ideology is something that can can be extremely successful in this century. It heavily emphasizes individualism, freedom, equality and allows citizens to express their opinions openly. They are willing to discard traditional values.

People get a sense of responsibility when they realize there isn't any one pushing out new laws and regulation.It makes them think about how much the decision really affect them and their surroundings.It gets them to be more aware of the things that are happening around them at change things that have negative impact on them,their communities and Environment .For example the environment if the government tells you what to do and what not to do people think they don’t have to care about the environment because the government is already doing that for me. With them not begin invoked as much it allows individuals to do there part in order to help out the environment.

And social theory favouring freedom of action for individuals over collective or state control or in modern times known as individualism is one of the principles of liberalism.It allows people to have the freedom to whatever they choose.An individuals has the choice what type of career they want,where to live,what to get and so on.This would make the aboriginals happy because no one is pressuring them their are able to do what they want and the government can help them by introducing social programs which would can help them mange their lifestyle and they can help them by making plans on how to spend the money they receive wisely like focusing on getting essentials
