In the story “Ronnie’s Protest,” which takes place during the time of the Civil Rights Movement, a mother of two named Ronnie Smith decides to take action and end social injustice in her hometown Chicago, and also in the United States as a whole. Ronnie musters a few dozen underprivileged individuals, most of them Ronnie’s friends and they hold a protest in Chicago.
