1. What are the environment concerns surrounding the processing of your product?
The environmental concerns are that it does not make environmental sense to use fossil fuel, or create unnecessary carbon emissions, to ship this halfway around the world. We are wasting things that are sparse to ship coconut to different parts of the world. This is seen as an issue because it is said that fossil fuels and carbon emissions are running out and they will continue to be in this position if we keep using them for unnecessary things.

It has recently been used as a teeth whitener, a nail, hair and skin phenomenon and a remedy for many illnesses. On the other hand, some people think that we are using too much of it too quickly and soon we won’t have any more left.
Why is it significant?
Coconuts are very important in the Indian culture. It is said that the coconut is everywhere in worship and that is represents that you are thanking god/it is a symbolic gesture. The coconut palm supplies food, drink and shelter as well as raw materials to several industries around the world. All parts of the coconut palm are beneficial in one way or another, which is why these trees are so popular and appreciated. Coconuts also have a variety of health benefits. Fossil fuels and carbon emissions are important because they can be burned, producing significant amounts of energy per unit weight.

Where is it an issue?
Coconuts are becoming an issue worldwide, as these fruits are popular all across the world. The areas where coconut palms are grown are being and will continue being the most affected because those are the places that make a profit off of coconuts. Places like Indonesia, the Philippines and India have an easy access to the fruit and buyers are willling to pay large amount to have a certain amount of coconuts for their industry/company.
Who are the stakeholders?
People who are concerned about coconuts being sparse and the prices rising are people who own a coconut palm farm and companies or industries who use coconut in their products. Without coconuts the people involved in these situations will go out of business and will have to make a living doing something else.
