Human rights is the idea of upholding certain standards of behaviors for everyone, no matter their origin, language, age, race, environment and their limitations. Sadly, not everyone is given the right to govern their life. As stated by Michelle Ye Hee Lee, in Washington Post, the United States has less than 5 percent of the world’s, yet we have almost 25 percent of the world’s total prison population” (2015). As I watched the movie of 12 angry man I realized that the faith of the 18-year-old boy is in hands of 12 men. I noticed that while watching the movie, majority of the jury came to the decision that the 18-year-old was guilty of his father’s murder. However, one out of the 12 juror Henry Fonda, had his reservations about the case as he considered the boy’s fate. He knew that a decision cannot be based upon the idea that the main person is guilt but there are steps that must be implemented to delegate an argument. The 12 angry man illustrate concepts of social justice, economic justice, the types of isms, such as classism, and stereotyping of behaviors. The movie demonstrates a situation in which 12 men of different social economic status, cultural background whose values and morals are different.
