When people think of England, they often think of British accents, drinking tea, and eating fish nd chips, but there is way more to England than those things. England is located in north-west Europe and is in the southern part of Great Britain and a large part of the United Kingdom. England's borders are with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west (“About England - study abroad in England & UK”). Thanks to settlers and migrants who have made England their home over the years, England has a rich cultural mix. Likewise, the English culture is shared throughout the world by countries that used to be a part of the British Empire. Contributions made by the English are mainly in the area of literature, theatre and architecture. The English language, which is primarily English, has spread around the world and has developed a plethora of variations in regional accents. All countries have social standards that are followed. No matter where one is in the country of England, there are a plethora of social norms that one will see from the English people.
