Socrates is on death row, he is being charged on the acts of corrupting the youth. He argues that the verdict is unjust, however, he follows through with the judiciary process because of his moral virtues. While awaiting his death in a prison cell, Crito, Socrates’ “old and faithful friend”, makes a last ditch effort to convince Socrates to escape prison. Knowing Socrates’ usual course for the way he interprets philosophy, he allows Crito to speak his mind and will then decide what the course of action should be.
