In this video we hear a description of Socrates’ death and multiple accounts from his friends and Socrates himself. One of the quotes in the video was the last sentence Socrates gave to the people of the jury during his trial, “I go to die, you go to live. Which of us goes to the better lot is known to no one, except the god.” This quote gives us insight into why Socrates was so nonchalant about his execution while his friends, were weeping. A powerfully delivered quote that shows Socrates isn’t thinking this life is not the end, to him death could be the sweet release from this suffering world. There may be many other points someone might pull from this video, but no intelligent person can deny the fact that Socrates believed in something
