Soda Ban?!?! Is soda a problem for America? " Two out of three adults and one out of three children in the United States are overweight or obese." Sugary Drinks and Obesity Fact Sheet, by Harvard T.H. Chan. Many people dislike the fact that Mayor Bloomberg is trying to ban the soda consumtion, but it is a good idea for many people in America. The soda ban is a good idea, because it will help peoples health and will help with obeisity and diseases. It has been researched that many children and adults drink more amounts of soda than the human body should. In 19 years the percent of children drinking soda has raised by 12 percent. The soda ban would greatly help the 91% of children drinking soda and hopefully drop the percentage. The research shows that both adults and children are drinking more soda than they should. Such as the calories that children are consuming is increasing from 60% from ages 6 to 11. The fact that this is increasing is bad, but if the soda ban that Mayor Bloomberg is put into action children and adults will have a less chance of becoming overweight. This soda ban wont only help the soda consumtion reason, but because it will also help the fact that soda is influencing unhealthy food
