Sonny Ford is a 24 year old, latino ,male. Much about his past is unknown due to the fact he was adopted. While growing up Sonny has always been the loner type. Any time he was is a social situation he would become frustrated, he was also hypersensitive to any crisium . Sonny is also overly attached to his father. Any time that his father would leave he would be under incredible stress. Over the past 2 years Sonny ford's mental health has declined. It has slowly started with anxiety and concentration difficulty. WHile meeting with Sonny Ford he would show restricted emotions as well as making little eye contact. While talking with sonny he his speech was hesitant and deliberate. He has also stated that he hears voices in his head, but all that he could tell me of the voices is that they sounded angry and critical. Sonny does have a history of using marijuana. While on this drug his brain felt numb, and after the drug he believes that is has warped his brain.Typically sonny likes to be alone , but has had intercourse with someone before. After his sexual encounter he believes that his partner has given him aids, even after test have proven other wise. Sonny's has not just developed a delusion look on life but a paranoid view as well. I recommended that he start Cognitive behavior therapy. I believe that with CBT he will be able to develop more social skills, and will help reconstructed his view on himself. With social skills he will be able to feel more comfortable around other people, and possibly trust them more. With an ability to be able to gain his trust I could move to change his belief that the FBI is out to get him.Since CBT will take a couple of months to show any sign of any improvement , and many years to fully complete. A low dose of Thorazine or Atypical antipsychotics will be help with his symptoms while In Cognitive behavior
