The American Dream will always exist, however it will only be attainable to those that start trying on their carrier and focus on their future. Some do not have dreams and others have many. Many of those dreams start with education, hard work and commitment. They believe that the dream is going to come to them but that isn’t always the case. Like in Source C Johnson, claims “In fact, turning off the TV is the first step in reclaiming your own dream”. Johnson has a point, those who are laying down being lazy or even working on other things that aren't as important, need to start working on their career or education. They might lose their opportunities as time goes on. Some are taking the “shortcut”. An example of how these people are lazy or procrastinate is when Warshauer said in Source B, “Since the industrial revolution, Americans have dreamed about finding shortcuts to extravagant wealth, including winning on lucrative game shows or buying a lucky lottery ticket”. Which makes it harder or easier for them. Some have it way easier than others for instance they can obtain help from others while the rest have to be independant. Those who have it harder have things in their way or have excuses why they can't obtain their american dream. For instance, in source E Longley concludes “The survey also shows considerable growth in the number of people who say government makes it more difficult to achieve the American Dream”. The Government is getting in their way but that doesn't mean that they have to stop. That means that they have to try even harder. These people have to commit to their american dream, That's exactly why those who try to obtain their dream have denied to continue. Others are willing to take the risks while the cant take it anymore and just
