The Industrial Revolution paved the way for the United States and its economy; this emergence of Industrial shrewdness and technology benefitted the Southern states greatly and broadened their economy. They made advancements in agricultural and began to deal with textiles, mining, and transportation. This may seem peculiar, given the Souths background in agriculture, but there are reasonable explanations to justify why and how the South went through an industrialization stage.
