Have you ever seen anyone on the side of the road with a sign that says “will work for food?” While I watched the movie Southpaw, I realized that like those homeless people once you come upon hard time you have to work hard to turn your life around. In Southpaw, the professional boxer had everything he wanted until his wife was shot. After his wife was shot the boxer’s life went down hill.Then he lost custody of his daughter, which caused him to realize that he had to turn his life around to prove to the judge that he was a fit parent. The message of the movie Southpaw, was when things in life are tough you have to work hard to turn your life around.This has impacted my life through my health struggles. Migraines have limited my life in multiple ways, and I am still working my way through the struggles that the migraines have brought upon me. …show more content…
When I do not have a migraine, I am like the boxer that has everything before he lost his wife. I feel like nothing can limit me and that I am able to do what is important to me. I can fully participate in sports without fear of having to let my team down because I cannot go to practice, finish a game, or be part of a camp. When I do not have a migraine at school I am able to concentrate on what the teachers are teaching, I am able to read the material, and get my schoolwork done on time. Spending time with my friends is important to me, without migraines, I am able to hang out with my friends and play video games, watch movies, and play ping-pong. My family enjoys going on vacations to the beach and going camping, which I do not get to experience with a migraine. The days I get to enjoy doing what is important to me makes me want everyday to be a day without a
