In the Story of Steel, it talks about the advantages of the Spanish conquistadors. One of the Spanish’s advantages were the types of metals they had. They were able to make some of these metals because of the experiments with fire and minerals. The dry environment helped the Spaniards keep the fire going for days at a time. This would allow the fire to increase temperature and to transform stone into plaster. Some of their metals were steel, iron, copper, and bronze. Having many metal types was an advantage for the Spanish conquistadors because they could make weapons with it. They were able to build swords and armors. As the years went by their weapons became the sturdiest and the strongest. Also the weapons became more lightweight and flexible.
