Fire! Fire! Fire! Only 18 minutes was what it took to destroy 146 lives. A normal day that soon was about to become the deadliest in one’s life it went through the tops floors in the closed of an eyes. The lives lost in the Triangle shirtwaist factory fire were tragic but worth it because they changed America by bringing up many laws that will impact the wages gained and working conditions that would later prevent this from happening again. Humans can be too selfish and by the time they realize how situations can emerge in their contrary out of nowhere already a giant incident has occurred. An example of this selfishness

Additional laws mandated that factory waste should not be permitted on factory floors but instead should be deposited in fireproof receptacles. Many touching lives have been passed on which now have been converted into stories of the past that will forever stay reminding everyone of their existence an example of this is when the survivors write their experiences which leads to ‘‘ Many others were not so lucky. Several workers died in the elevator shaft. The fire only raged for a few minutes and the difference between life and death was a brief unthinking decision. It was the end of an eight hour Saturday shift. People were already getting ready to leave when the fire broke out and in fact some of the workers did not realize the building was on fire until they were out on the street. One young man bounded down the stairs to wait for his sister outside. She was engaged to be married and wanted to fix herself up before she went to meet her fiance. By the time her brother realized what was going on, the firemen wouldn't let him back in the building to try and save his sister. She never made it out alive’’(Friend). A sad ending that can only bring tears and memories into the one’s viewing the feelings. The smoke and the people that burned will stay forever in the eyes of the
