College park , GA, May 2009 a group of 10 students were at a BDay party when two masked gun men burst into the apt demanding cell phones and wallets. They separated the men from the women. According to the students one of the men asked the other how many bullets he had. The other responded, “Enough”. One can only imagine how the outcome of this event was going to end. But one of the students decided he was not going to be a victim. He shot at the gun man watching over the males who ran into the bathroom and jumped out the window. He ran into the other room where the women were being held captive to see that he was about to rape one of the women. He then shot the second masked man who also fled and was found dead near his apt. bldg. If more law abiding citizens carried or owned firearms there would be less crime. Criminals would have to second guess if they think there attacks were going to be on an easy target or a person exercising their right to the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment states that “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. For those that do not know, for an American that wants to own/carry a firearm there are standards to meet. You cannot be a convicted felon. You cannot have a misdemeanor involving violence or 2 DUI’s within the past 3 years. You cannot be dishonorably discharged from the military. With these facts you can see why the average gun owner is more law conscious than some criminal who doesn’t abide by these rules. In Dec of 2011, Augusta, Maine a 51 yr old woman was kidnapped at a Wal-Mart parking lot. She was force drive her own car by gun point. He had her pull up to an ATM and pull out money for him. Another case as recent as May 2012 a person was kidnapped at a Wal-Mart parking lot. She later escaped. This doesn’t mean don’t ever shop at Wal-Mart again. They are just reported crimes I’m using to prove my point…
There are two classes of cells that exist in biology today, there are prokaryotic cells and there are eukaryotic cells. A prokaryotic cell is a cell that has no nucleus which consists of bacteria; a eukaryotic cell is a cell that has a nucleus. There are two types of eukaryotic cells in biology; plant and animal cells. Plant cells have organelles in each cell that helps then function and go through processes such as photosynthesis. Each cell in our body consists of organelles that help…

When I think about organized crime and its very definition I immediately think of is the Italian Mafia, which has been portrayed in various articles, news casts, and historical culture and let’s not forget the many movies that have been made. This alone does not define what organized crime group are though I’m sure at one time it was the primary indicator for organized crime. Yet today this…
Both plant and animal cells are eukaryotic cells which mean they have a ‘true’ nucleus. Animal cells can come in an array of sizes and unusual shapes, unlike a plant cell which is typically rectangular or cube shaped.
What can be found in a Plant Cell and an Animal Cell?
Cell Membrane - This surrounds the cytoplasm in the cell, enclosing its contents. It is thin and semi permeable and allows substances to move through it.
Cytoplasm - a gel like substance…
family for that reason they turn to crime.
NO way out of poverty and having little to none options makes head of household commit unlawful acts. Therefore crime rates increases. Most common crimes in these cases are robbery, burglary among others.
The money given to the poor population sometimes is not managed properly by them therefore the problem is not solved and most of these families will not look for a better life since they are just fine with minimum. Crimes in rural areas are high based on…

a. Explain that cells take in nutrients in order to grow, divide and to make needed materials. S7L2a
b. Relate cell structures (cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplasts, and mitochondria) to basic cell functions. S7L2b
1. Cells are the smallest single unit that can maintain life. Within each cell are a collection of organelles that perform specific
functions. In 1855 a scientist named Rudolph Virchow consolidated the published work of other scientists and drew accurate…

How does one decide if the death penalty is a way of punishing a person who has committed a horrible crime? What is considered a horrible crime? In Canada we do not have capital punishment, the definition of capital punishment or the death penalty is when a person is put to death as a punishment for a crime. The execution can be by an electric chair or a lethal injection.
One of the reasons I don’t think capital punishment is fair, is because in certain circumstances…
offence. In relation to the Magistrates court only Summary and Triable either way offences are heard at this court.
The type of offence committed will determine the type of pre-trial hearing that will take place. All defendants charged with a crime, regardless of the type of offence that they have committed, their first hearing will be the Early Administrative Hearing. This hearing is held in the Magistrates court. The aim of the hearing is to avoid any unnecessary delay when the case does start…
criminologist my job is to research the scientific methods of studying criminal
behavior. In society many crimes are being committed such as murder, rape, and burglary. Some people are found not guilty while others are being convicted for the crimes they’ve committed. One case that I’ve studied is based on a killing of an alleged drug dealer. Terrance Pinkley was abducted by a group of men who was demanding cocaine from a friend of Pinkley. The group of mean also demanded a ransom form Pinkley’s grandmother…
