Hinduism When you consider the size of the world we live in and all the nations there is bound to be many differences. Life in general is just that differences, but life is also very important to our belief systems. There’s well over a billion people residing on the Earth hence, the many different religions and spiritual beliefs these systems are joined by traditions and doctrines designed to connect individuals. Out of all the religions in the world Hinduism is one of the oldest religions still practiced today? Hindus see their religion as a way of life and this is commonly referred to as the Santana Dharma which means eternal religion. Some may not be aware of the fact that Hinduism has nearly a billion followers these followers understand the basic belief involved in Hinduism. There are a number of religious, cultural, and philosophical ideas associated with Hinduism. These ideals are strategically placed within the religion and contribute influence so it is important to be able to distinguish the basic belief system of Hinduism.
Hinduism is a melting pot of diverse belief and traditions these beliefs incorporate truth, celibacy, contentment, honesty, non-violence, perseverance, pious company, prayers, penance, and austerity. Since there is a conglomerate of ideologies centered on Hinduism this makes the religion difficult to grasp. In fact Hinduism lacks a single founder, a specific theological system, a single system of morality, or a central religious organization (Religious Tolerance, para1). In addition, there are four major goals: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha there also the belief of one single supreme being known as Brahman. When it comes down to the specifics of who to worship whether God or Goddess Hinduism is not strict in this matter in fact Hindus are free to worship any deity that they believe comes from Brahman.
Hinduism originated in what is known today as Pakistan however, the continent of India is home to many diverse groups of cultural beliefs Hinduism possess many of these diversities and an assortment of Indian religions. As stated before Hinduism encompasses many different traditions and doctrines which contribute vital strength and spiritual teachings. Hindus that live amongst one another share the same beliefs and these beliefs are passed on to future generations the spiritual teachings are a strong foundation for the life of the religion combined and with their devotion and other religious goals Hinduism will be around for many more years to come. Hindus also believe that an individual’s behavior through their thoughts and actions affect the outcome of their future as a well as the individuals after life this is called Karma and it plays a very big role in Hindu religion. When dealing with Karma a person’s actions as well as their desires must measure up to good deeds an individual must live a wholesome life and have honorable ways this way
