People all live life a different way. I'm not talking about physically because that is obvious, I'm talking about mentally. Everyone has a different mental state. Everyone reacts uniquely no matter the situation. You will never be able to understand or comprehend what goes on in another person's brain. You fight daily obstacles with yourself that you probably have never noticed. Today i will explain to you how the book ¨The Odyssey” , isn't a book about a war or a man’s journey home, it’s a book about the everyday thought process in a person's mind. ¨The Odyssey¨ by Homer is about a man named Odysseus. Odysseus is clever, kind, and brave. He fights in a ten year long war then has to find his way back home which, of course, takes another …show more content…
We can all agree that Odysseus has done some stupid stuff, but also some amazing things. Everyone is proud of something they've done and ashamed of another like Odysseus. We all start out in Ithaka everyday. In our nice peaceful mind. When our day gets set into motion we are at war in Troy. When the hard part of our day is over, we start to head home to Ithaka. Let’s use school as an example. Waking up to go to school is like when Odysseus refused to go to battle. As we set off to school the battle starts. First block always sucks, you're tired you do not want to be there and it’s work that you just aren’t up to yet. Second block is the Trojan Horse, Where you now have woken up a bit and are capable of a good fight, against your school work that is. Third block is the journey home were everything’s all good you have lunch but while you're in third block you are stuck with the cyclopes, meaning you still have to do work. Fourth block your almost there. When the starting bell for fourth block rings you just beat Skylla, but somewhere along the way to the end of fourth block Zeus sank your ship. When that final bell rings you are almost home to Ithaka. You have now reached Ithaka but wait you have a butt load of homework or one hundred plus suitors to
