Internet rumors are a big part of the social media world of today, whether they’re talking about politics, TV shows, movies, or even people oversees. People today are just too quick to assume something is true. One good example of this is the SpongeBob rumor. The rumor stated that SpongeBob was going to be cancelled on October 17 which did not happen. In this day and age of internet gossip and extreme conspiracy theories people need to realize that just because something is interesting doesn’t mean it’s true. It is evident that social media has changed how people live, communicate, and prosper but to an extent they are a curse and a nuisance to some. The evolution of these websites like Facebook, twitter, and Instagram have allowed people
