Over the course of my life, I have had many successes and failures. One of the failures I have encountered during my life was my performance in my freshman year at Springfield High School. Freshman year was a difficult transitional year for me and I would consider it the worst year I’ve had academically. Throughout elementary and middle school, I was an average student and achieved honor roll several times. I attended Holy Cross School in Springfield. Going from a catholic school to a public school, I knew that going to Springfield would be a big adjustment for me, and it turns out that I was correct in this situation. In my freshman year, I took classes such as Biology, Language Arts I, US History I, Spanish I and Photoshop I. The class I struggled the most in was Biology. While these grades may be good to some people, they were not good enough to me. I knew that this was not a good reflection of how smart I was. Due to the grades I achieved in my freshman year, I came to the realization that high school was not as easy as I thought it would be, and that I needed to work harder. Ever since, I have worked as hard as possible to obtain good grades. I finished my sophomore year with a GPA of 89.4 and a class rank of 147. I put more time and effort into my schoolwork and it paid off. In my junior year, I finished the year with good grades as well, and I am proud of myself for the student I have become. I have become more driven, and hardworking in school and I make schoolwork a priority.
Because of the hard work I have put in since Sophomore Year, I have finally reached the top half of my class rank. This is a better indication of the student I am. I am not the best student in my school, but I am definitely a consistent, reliable
