When the skunk made an incorrect choice, the experimenter would say no and no food was given to the skunk. Then after the stimuli were taken out of the box and replaced in their location for the next project. Each skunk or subject was tested each testing day and received from one to seven twenty trial sessions per day. The skunks had a set goal to perform at eighty percent correct on four consecutive sessions or ninety percent on two consecutive sessions.U f the skunks were not capable of passing the stimuli test within thirty sessions, then the correction trials were used. If the skunks were able to pass the criteria of the setup right and distant stripes. The next session the stripes were paired with a gray stimulus. When retested outdoors, skunks were presented with the smallest cycle they have previously passed.
