Both the Native Americans and St. Lucy’s used education of children in boarding school. “St. Lucy’s boarding school was for girls raised by wolves” and what they were learning is to become civilized as a whole. “When the pack of girls first got at the boarding school St. Lucy’s they were savages by the sprayed exuberant yellow streams all over the bunks.”(St. Lucy’s). The Native Americans were forced by the whites to go to boarding schools so they learn how to become civilized. Both the girls and the Native Americans were forced to cut their hair and change into regular human clothing.
