In the exhibit there was a canvas painting by Steven Ginsburg called “St. Regis Mountain from Paul Smith's”. The medium of it was oil on canvas. The overall theme of the art piece is peace in nature because its use of line, shape, color, focal point and depth.
This piece of art has several lines like straight, curved, contour and directional. For example there are straight and curved lines because it is a nature piece. In nature there are different forms in the tree branches and bushes. Therefore everything should not be straight or it'll look unrealistic. Also there are contour lines to distinguish where the mountains end and the sea began . Lastly the water in the painting has directional lines to indicate that its some motion going on in the scene.
