Stagecoach is a great story, that brings together some rather interesting characters, such as Buck the stagecoach driver, the law man Curly that joins them for protection, a prostitute named Dallas that’s being run out of town, a drunk doctor named Doc Boone, a thieving banker named Gatewood,, a gambling man named Hatfield, Mrs. Mallory, a pregnant woman trying to reach her husband, a wanted outlaw named the Ringo Kid, and Samuel Peacock, a whiskey drummer from Kansas City. It starts with mentions of an Apache Indian named Geronimo that’s stirring up trouble and the army is trying to stop them. A stagecoach that’s driving through, stops at a town to change horses, where we meet most of the characters. The Ringo Kid eventually joins when he meets the stagecoach, and Curly essentially takes the outlaw into his custody. They come into another town where they believe the army is, but they’re told that the army has left to go to another town called Apache Wells. This upsets Mrs. Mallory, and the party takes a vote to continue, which the majority rules to push forward. Once they reach Apache Wells, which has many Hispanic peoples there, they find that there had been a skirmish in which Mrs. Mallory’s husband was injured and taken to Lordsburg. The pregnant Mrs. Mallory faints, and as it turns out, is going into labor. Once she has her baby, Dallas helps to take care of her, and despite Mrs. Mallory disliking Dallas at first, she comes to appreciate her. Ringo asks Dallas to marry him, and at first she doesn’t say anything, but she later agrees. Ringo tries to escape, but he spots Apache war signals and allows himself back into custody. The group leaves, but are soon met by Apache in a battle. Peacock gets hit by an arrow, but he doesn’t
