Constantin Stanislavsky was a 19th century actor. He came up with an acting technique that is called “The Stanislavsky System” or “Method Acting”. Stanislavsky style of acting was to be natural and believable on stage. His style was to become as much alike the character as he possibly could. He also made up a technique called “magic if” just by asking yourself what if this situation happened to me. Lee Strasberg was a 20th century actor who strongly used The Stanislavsky System. Strasberg’s technique derived from Stanislavsky’s technique. “An affective memory is a specific, disciplined process, not the production of some general uncontrolled emotion”. Strasberg believed that to make the play better to watch you must make your characters emotions
