Statement of Purpose
As the famous saying goes “One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man. – Elbert Hubbard”. The deep-rooted meaning of this simple quote has been elemental in shaping my inclination towards the mechanics and the science behind it. I wish to be an individual that has a significant positive impact in the ever expanding field of mechanics.

The most significant event that shaped my current passion was when my uncle took me on an industrial visit. The workings of such a large-scale plant and the synchrony in which these machines operated were no less than any modern marvel. This piqued my curiosity and started gravitating me towards the world of mechanics. My curiosity

Two subjects that I liked the most was ‘internal combustion engine’ and ‘machine design ’. These 2 subjects had cleared my doubts about my exact interest in mechanical engineering. Being very curious about the subjects, I wanted to gain some practical knowledge about automobiles and the designing aspects. Therefore, I participated in SAE BAJA INDIA in the final year of my engineering course and also worked as an off team member to gain some practical knowledge in the third year and in the same year attended an automobile workshop to gain an in depth knowledge of automobile both subjectively as well as practically and also visited Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) for gaining some more information from the technical experts about testing, manufacturing, designing of automobiles. This helped me a lot, when I was in the BAJA team, and due to my sound technical knowledge, the Technical advisor of our team appointed me as a Head of the braking department and also represented my college at the virtual round. Also in the third year, I had done a CAD-CAM certificate course. This course had helped me at the virtual round, as I had gained in depth knowledge about designing software , and also the basics of mechanical designing …show more content…
Also, I took the initiative for finding many unknown application of this type of engines. Thinking of making it useful for the farmers, I approached them to explain the application of Stirling engines, how it could be help them in their daily occupation. I, now wish to extend my knowledge further and enhance my knowledge about automobiles and the associated designing and technical concepts that make a company successful and distinct from each other. I, thus present my application for you in expectation to receive a positive consideration.

I am aware that universities in US are globally acknowledged for offering great prospects and encouragement for academic development, research and facilities. The country’s fast paced advancement has helped her emerge as a world leader in Science and Technology, and I aspire to be part of this change and globalization. Hence, I am applying for a graduate program at your university as my next academic step towards realization of my future
