What makes Stephen Spielberg such an iconic person in today's world? Stephen Spielberg is such an icon due to the way he directs and makes his movies and the way he makes them. He is really a genius when it comes to special effects and his storylines, especially his history movies. He always keeps his history movies as accurate as possible. That's what makes him so credible when it comes to history movies. He also incorporates sensitive parts of history into his films.
Stephen is a genius when it comes to effects. “No amount of bluescreen could conjure up the visions Steven Spielberg was about to undertake”(Freer 1). It seems as if Stephen has an idea or vision he gets it out in some shape or form. He has definitely changed the movie business

No matter what he keeps his movies authentic. “The issues that Spielberg addresses throughout his films enable the audience and those affected by such horror, to relive and remember the importance of such historical events”(Feldman 1). He keeps them so real is because he doesn't want to sugar coat it. He wants people to see what really happened during this horrible chain of events during whatever time period the movie is about.”These movies also serve as a learning experience for the audience, from the strife and strong human perseverance that was present during trying times in American and world history” (Feldman 1). What I can gather from his history based movies is that he wants us to learn from his movies. “Mr. Spielberg was visited by Holocaust survivors eager to have their stories told, and some survivors appeared at the end of the film. Mr. Spielberg fulfilled a promise to give them a voice by establishing the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation”(Jones 1). He helped start a foundation called Shoah Visual History Foundation, this foundation collected testimonies from Holocaust survivors to preserve them. Sadly a lot of survivors have died of old age over the years and i'm sure there are very few left. “Mr. Spielberg wanted each survivor’s life story recorded, not just war experiences” (Jones 1).
