Stepping in a completely new community in which I have no type of contact was scary, but it was fun and I learn a lot. Seeing these students how they were flourishing during the classroom time and show no signs of being scared or ashamed for being bilinguals or of having a special need. The school makes you feel part of them even though you are not everyone is welcoming; they invite you to step in to see their unique community. I was ignorant by thinking that being bilingual was a person who talk just English and their first language, but was I wrong. Anyone who can speak, writing, and read two different languages is a bilingual. Albuquerque Sign Language Academy open my eyes of a different type of bilingualism, some of the students know English,
