What are the positive aspects of stereotypes, if any?
Honestly there are no positive aspects of stereotypes. Stereotypes are hurtful observations and saying we protrude onto others. Simply because we cannot stand the way someone looks or the way they act. Stereotypes are everywhere around us. We don’t see it as much as we hear about it. Someone can be playing basketball and they can be good at it but because they are white they are not as good as someone who is African American who is great at it. Which is a type stereotype. Just because you are black you are better than a white guy playing basketball that is rude and racist in a way. Reason why sterotypes are not positive.
What are the negative aspects of stereotypes?
They are racist. That is one reason thy are negative. They are also hurtful and put downs towards thoughs who can’t help how they were born or the color of their skin. Harsh reality we learn at a young age is that we are made fun of by the way we look which is form of a sterotype. There will always be some form of sterotype going on with our society and all will be some form of a negative aspect.
