Often comedians and or entertainers are to play and bring up touchy subjects in humorous ways. By doing so, they are able to bring it up, but in a way it will be less likely to spark something up or offend anyone. These kinds of people tend to bring these arguments up through the use of different methods such as political cartoons or movies which allows the artist or speaker to still bring up the topic. First, cartoons are probably one of the easiest ways to bring up controversial subjects and get off their intended message. For example, Political cartoons are used very often to convey a message. They bring up the message that is a bit difficult to society and then throw on some comedy and it is a lot easier to come across. Artist tend to do these things on purpose to get awareness on the subject so it won’t become more of an issue. …show more content…
An example of a movie they did this in would be “Miss Congeniality”. It’s all about an undercover spy who gets assigned to work in a beauty pageant contest to protect the girls from a guy trying to plant a bomb in the final pageant. Now, she goes into this thinking how bad and obnoxious the girls are going to be. Basically the typical stereotype of pageant girls. Later on in the movie as it progresses she comes to find out that she was completely wrong and underestimated these girls. She becomes good friends with a lot of them and knows that a lot of them are here to make a change and spread awareness. This is an important message because it teachers to not judge a book by its cover and to take time to get to know their inner beauty as well. This is an excellent way of bringing up such topics because it informs them but also entertains them at the same
