Do we live our own unique lives or do we live the life society mandates us?It will be really

hard to find a person who lives life, his or her own way, with no outside laws, order, social

standards, or otherwise, powerful entities to stop him or her--through either force, mandate, or

persuasion.Ruling out those very few individuals ‘who do live their own lives’, people tend to

live their lives as society dictates.These people are often compelled to rebel against their social

norms but most of the times, individuals choose to comply to cultural, societal, governmental,

religious and ethical or moral laws and authorized rules (additionally informal ones that are

advanced to a great extent by a specific culture).People naturally require the acknowledgment of

Often, the actual reason we conform is because it's much

easier, safer, within our comfort zones (we love the feeling and comfort of validation) and we

don't want to rebel just for the sake of rebelling.

Most people are too scared to not comply with the rules of society, most of the times. For, if you

don't do it you have to confront the question of what to do which is not an easy question to

answer. You have to have enough faith in your ability to organize your own life in order to be

able to break away from societal expectations, for if you do not count on society for validation,

you have to depend on yourself, your own good judgment. Seeking validation is ingrained within

human psychology. In summary, I would say our lives are in fact dictated by society the majority

of the times, but sometimes we do find the courage to do something abnormal and unique, to
