The couple was pulled over by white police officer. During the investigation, police officer demands the couple to get out of the car and he pat them both down. While he is patting down the women, he molests her in front of her husband. The husband cannot do anything, he just stand there while his wife get molest by the white police officer, husband have no rights to do anything, because if he try to stop the cop he will be charged as assaulting a police officer. Even thought the guy was a film producer, because he is a black male he could not say or do anything. The husband is black and the police officer is white, the police officer holds more authority in this situation. This scene is absolute unfair in the movie. It demonstrates how the couple was treated unjustly by the racist cop due to their race. Some of this example still happens in today’s society. First of all it is not right to molest anyone does not matter, however, the husband is hesitant to intervene because of his place in society of a black male. The main question that is asked in these kinds of situations is that whose side are we as a society going to take? The white police officer, who molest a black male wife, or the black male? This part of the scene also demonstrates the point of “whiteness” and how black men are three times more likely to get pulled over by a cop just because of their race type. This also indicates that how black people consider their race and place in our society
