Society today tries to shape us by how we look, dress, what we eat and listen to. Theses are just some examples on how society tries to shape us. Teens see these advertisements telling them that they need to look like this and dress like that and they follow it because they thinks it makes them look “cool” or because they’re trying to fit in with the new group of friends or with their old friends because everyone else is doing it. We think we have to have name brand clothes to look cool. On the scarlet letter the women have to wear a dress they can’t wear jeans because only guys can and it has to be certain colors. Society also tries to peer pressures on of mice and men. Curlys wife is always peer pressures but her husband curly. He always tells her she has to be in the house and she couldn't talk to nobody when she should be able to when its not like shes doing anything wrong another one is when curly was hitting lennie and George was trying to make lennie hit curly or stop him well he finally listen listen to George and broke Curley's hands. People shouldn’t listen to what other people think how you should act or do.
