The hardest part about being a teenager in our day and age is the stereotype that comes with it. We regard teens as being too young to generate adult decisions, yet mature enough to not be looked after. People have immense expectations of them even though they don’t view teens as adults. When we think about age groups in general teens are the ones that are scrutinized and constantly looked down upon. We praise children for acting charming and innocent and we forgive their oversights considering they are only “kids” and they simply “don’t know any better”. On the other hand, adults are seen as power figures that can form colossal decisions while teens in an excess of ways are left in the dust. This doesn’t mean that every day is a struggle
