Whilst the government lives in a secluded bubble, the question of our governments systemic racism continues to surround the community. Australia’s practices continue to affect Indigenous and First Nations Australians, from local people to notable people in the television industry. Steven Oliver is a famous Australian comedian and actor and a descendant of the Kuku-Yalanji, Waanyi, Gangalidda, Woppaburra, Bundjalung and Biripi peoples. Regardless of his contribution to Australian comedic culture, people continue to criticise him because of his culture.
