A couple in Toronto has decided to make a decision to raise their 4-month old baby, Storm Stocker, genderless. His or her parents, Kathy Witterick, 38, and David Stocker, 39, want to raise their child genderless. David Stocker, the father, has stated that “parents make so many choices for their children” (James, 2011). The parents want their child to not confine to the social norms of gender. They want their child to discover him or herself and what they want to be. They are carrying out their decision by not disclosing their child’s gender to anyone. The baby would not be clothed in stereotypical boy or girl clothes. The child can do what is deemed girl or boy actions in their life.
