Executive Summary
UW-Platteville is located on the southwest corner in the State of Wisconsin, continues to be the fastest-growing UW System institution. For over the last 10 years student enrollment has grown by 41% and in the fall of 2013 the University set a record enrollment number with 8,717 student enrolled, not including distance learning to international students. The University is committed to recruiting, supporting and fostering a diverse, inclusive and civil community. The ultimate goal of the strategic management plan for the University Wisconsin Platteville is creating and building “Student Success”. There are many contributing factors that are responsible for the success of UW- Platteville, but one of the most successful changes was the change in their technology. With new technologies, it allowed the Admission Office and the University to get a comprehensive view of their own performance and enable them to make critical changes with precise timing. It also allowed the University to understand the current trends in recruiting and enrollment while providing easy effective management for its staff and faculty.
Vision
Technology at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville is deeply embedded and integrated within the instructional, social, and administrative activities of the campus and is one of the foundations upon which the campus builds its future. UW- Platteville is fully committed in acquiring and applying the technology that are use and disseminated throughout ever phase of university life. We provided informational support and advance resources to ensure our graduates will be recognized for their knowledge and skill in applying information technologies to the challenges and opportunities in their professional and personal lives.

The advances of technology has increased the usage and dependency on electronics and web base technologies among students young and old today. With the technology advances and the increase population of people who use it has transformed institutions everywhere to increase their investment in technology to keep up with current trends. To accommodate student’s needs and to stay competitive in the higher education market, institutions themselves are becoming more and more reliant on technology.
