Strong A. I Simulation

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the possibility of using a strong A.I. program to simulate sweetie’s brain to gain a better understanding of sweetie’s cognitive processes, and whether it could be successfully implemented to mend our relationship. The reason I chose this topic was because I found it to be the most interesting topic discussed in class. I also thought I would have an advantage considering I’m a Computer Engineering major, because I would understand the possible problems I may encounter while running the simulation. Going back to the prompt, I believe that this should work to some extent, as in it would give me a rough estimate of how sweetie feels about our situation, but I would never understand exactly how sweetie feels. Thus, this simulation would help me find a solution to convince sweetie, but I still wouldn’t know how he actually thinks because this …show more content…
can be a reality, eventually, but in this instance, based on what I define as strong A.I. I would not consider this to be a form of strong A.I. In order for this to be strong A.I. I believe that there should be a physical component (human-like as possible) that allows the A.I. to interact with the world and learn just as an average human does, through the senses. This is the only way that the A.I. will learn on its own, thus having actual cognitive processes. Any A.I. that is able to reason, learn, comprehend, etc. to a lesser degree than that of a human is a form of weak A.I. In the given situation, I would consider this form of weak A.I. because I’m creating an algorithm based on the UMBCCBMU system which is merely a tool in studying sweetie’s brain, it’s not actually sweetie’s brain. With that said, I am not implying that weak A.I. will be complete unsuitable for this purpose. Using this simulation will not help me understand what he thinks and feels about our relationship, but rather it will provide a rough estimate based on reactions to certain
