John Stuart Mill was a philosopher and economist who led the utilitarian movement in the 1800s. John Stuart Mill had questioned the motives behind the idea of capitalism. He believe that the idea of capitalism was wrong, and that it was unfair to the workers. He disapproved that workers led deprived lives that sometimes bordered starvation. His eyes were opened to those who were suffering, he saw that they were the ones who need attention and help.
John Stuart Mill made it his goal to help those in need. His wish was to help the ordinary people by creating policies that would give equal division of profits to all of the workers. He believed that everyone should get a fair share in the profits. John Stuart Mill favored many other ideas as well.
