This year is my first year as a student ambassador at Lisle Senior High School. After my freshmen year, I recall Student Ambassadors was the club I was most eager to be a part of because my ambassadors helped me so much during my freshman year, and I wanted to do the same for others during their first years in high school. As a student ambassador, I display exceptional leadership qualities because I fulfill my duties of being in charge of running a meeting and making sure that my group of freshmen receive all the information that they need. In addition, I never fail to complete my responsibility of attending the student ambassador meetings a week prior to the ones with our freshman group, where we go through the agenda. I can relate to students who may struggle learning something in class, and their teacher is not able to explain it to them. It is nice that there is an opportunity for students in this situation to learn and get help from other students. My leadership is highlighted through this program because I genuinely enjoy to helping others finish and understand their homework or receive a good grade on a test. I will put a lot of effort to make sure that they reach their academic goals. And even those that I am unable to help, I will always be sure to introduce them to another peer tutor or one of my friends that can assist them. This demonstrates my drive to complete my leadership responsibilities, and even when I am unable to do something myself, I will take the necessary action to make sure everything gets done. Peer tutors allows me to have a lasting impact on other student and their grades and promotes me to use effective verbal communication with my peers in order to teach them. I hope that through my actions as a peer tutor my peers can identify me as someone willing to help them out whenever they need
