There are many benefits of doing the study abroad program. It will open many doors to help my education grow, learn about new cultures and help me grow as an individual. This program will also allow the opportunity to experience new things and make friends from around the world. Being given the chance to learn by experiencing is going to be beneficial exposure.
There are many different goals that I would like to achieve while doing this program. My first goal is to experience traveling. The study abroad program will help achieve that goal. The fact that we will be living in Europe for a little over three weeks allows students like myself to be given the chance to visit historical sites, go to museums, experience living and learning a new culture that is different from our own. Learning about the history and architecture that many of the cities we are scheduled to visit intrigues me. The Eiffel Tower is a well-known architectural piece that is a great part of history. It is a structure that throughout my academic education I have read or learned about in many of my history classes. This is one structure and piece of history that would be amazing to see in person. I am eager to visit the countless cathedrals, castles, Palace of Versailles, the Roman ruins in Trier and diverse historical cites. While participating in this program I plan on visiting as many museums as possible. To be given the chance to see artwork from some of the greatest painters of all time such as Leonardo Da Vinci would be an incredible experience. There is a memorial monument that I would like to see on my free weekend that is located in Switzerland. It is a lion memorial monument for the mercenary soldiers from central Switzerland who lost their lives while serving the French king Louis XVI during the French Revolution in Lucerne, Switzerland. There are so many educational opportunities within this program that I will be able to partake in that will help broaden my
