¨Success means doing the best we can with what we have.Success is the doing, not the getting;in the trying, not the triumph.Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.¨(Zig Ziglar). Being successful is a feeling that lasts, a feeling that most of us strive to feel. To be successful, we should try to step on the right stones towards the path of success. Incase we cross the wrong path, we should have a backup plan.Majority of schools have a requirement of a minimum GPA of 2.0 for students playing sports, but some schools don´t.(The Beaufort Gazette) There is a higher chance of being successful in life with a good education. Students should be required to have a certain GPA in order to play sports because it provides them with a backup plan, it allows them to become successful in other careers and for education.

What people don’t realize is that many successful athletes graduated from college. Take Michael Jordan as an example. Michael Jordan went from being a University of North Carolina student to becoming a star NBA player. He even returned to school to complete a bachelor’s degree in geography.(rasmussen.edu) Also, what if you don’t end up getting into Major Pro or don’t become a professional athlete? According to NCAA, there are more than 10,000 participants for all sports and less than 10% of those participants make it into Major Pro. If you don’t end up within those few participants, then what? If you don’t have a good GPA, what are you going to do if you don’t end up as a professional athlete? However, if you do have a good GPA you might be able to get into a different career if you choose that sports isn’t the right path for
