Jesse Crowell Should humans be allowed to play the role of God? Legalizing euthanasia would do just that. The power to play with people's lives should not be handed out under a legal and/or medical disguise. This is why euthanasia shouldn’t be legalized, it should be against the law for anyone to take anyone’s life whether it’s through a doctor or not.
I feel as if you are taking someone’s life intentionally or unintentionally or even if they came to you asking you to take it, it should be classified as murder. I didn’t believe that this was legal in some states and countries; I thought it was a joke at first. Just too even think about it, you go to the doctor to have him take your life from you? No one should be okay with that, even if you are living a miserable life or slowly dying, you will pass when it is your time, and you need to live out everything whether it is good or bad.
I can see it from the others point of view, if you are dying and hurting and know it’s going to be over soon, you would just want to get it over with so you don’t have to suffer anymore. But still, it’s a person’s life, not a game it shouldn’t be toyed with. For one to think that it is ok for someone to take your life even if you believe it’s a good cause it is not, whether it is a doctor or whoever.
Euthanasia should not be legalized. It is by no means a solution to human suffering. Though euthanasia is a controversial subject, it is evident that it only disrupts the normal pattern of life
