The description that sonographers (ultrasound technicians) is that they use high frequency sound waves in order to produce an image etc. of images in the body. The images help the doctors find diseases and conditions like in the heart, pregnancy and cancer etc. As a sonographer you’ll be working in the hospitals, physician’s offices, clinics and in medical diagnostic laboratories. Working with patients and the high technology is two of the most important duties that a sonographer would have.
