1. I have chosen Exemplar 1.3 with Sharon Gillette.
a) The ethical issues that Mrs. Gillette faces in the scenario is that her work needs her to attend to the grieving families of the 9/11 disasters, but she also has no babysitter that can stay with her kids while she goes to work. The ethical issues are to be loyal to her practice or leave her frightened children at home alone.
b) 6.03 Public Emergencies: An emergency has happened and Sharon is needed to address grieving families/individuals. The Code of Ethics suggest that in emergencies a social worker must professional services to the greatest extent of her ability.
