Which one of the four Health Care components is more important and which is the least important? Defend your answer.
In my opinion, I believe that the most important health care component is quality (Vanderlip, 2015). The opportunity to have adequate access to complete health services regardless of who you are, what you are or where you come from is essential (Vanderlip, 2015). The availability of adequate health care to individuals will help in achieving good health care equity and will also help in improving the quality of a good life for people (Vanderlip, 2015). The invisible illness that exposure to war can cause grows each day and the number of veterans that are committing suicide are increasing each passing day (Lamothe, 2015). With good quality of health care made available to these veterans we can successfully reduce these numbers and help these men live a good quality of life when they return back to their families (Vanderlip, 2015).
I believe that insurance is the least important because in all honesty, the insurance is the middleman between the doctor and the patient (Wilthrop, 2014). The only importance to insurance is to get help in paying for certain services that the patient will need to get good care (Wilthrop, 2014).
When we have patients who are able to pay for the health services they need regardless of the cost, the use of having a third man becomes obsolete (Wilthrop, 2014). With having insurance, depending on the type, the patient is streamlined as to what services they can receive, what specialty doctors they can see, and what types of medications they can take, be it brand medication or generic medications (Wilthrop,
